analog collage, 8"W x 10"H
Exhibition dates: May 8–31, 2021
Collagists of all experience and skill level are encouraged to participate in Vayo Collage Gallery's second annual international celebration of collage!
**DEADLINE FOR ENTRY: APRIL 30, 2021**
When timelines are compressed, we may suffer nervousness or anxiety. When we compress an image, we can experience a loss in image quality. Yet, in the treatment of an open wound, compression preserves life by limiting traumatic blood loss. And in the information age, compression frees up space, allowing us to do more with less by removing unnecessary or repeating data. Collage artists are encouraged to interpret this theme however they choose.
Analog, digital, and dimensional collage works accepted. All submissions must be 8"x10" or smaller and relate to the theme. Important note: Due to pandemic precautions, U.S. Mail remains slower than normal. Please allow ample time for your submission to reach us! Entries received after 4/30/21 may not be displayed.

Submissions must arrive no later than April 30, 2021 to be included in the World Collage Day exhibition.

EXHIBITING AT VAYO GALLERY
Our intent is to frame each submission prior to hanging, but, in keeping with the 'compression' theme of the exhibition, we may have to get creative to accommodate all artworks.
The physical exhibition will open on World Collage Day, May 8, and remain open for the remainder of the month of May, During this time, visitors will be admitted by appointment, in strict obeisance to COVID-19 health precautions. The exhibition will also be covered on social media.
